Astute Early Years Specialists’ very own Kylie Dawson recently worked on The Lego Foundation’s #buildaworldofplay campaign.
Kylie is proud of the resources that she and her team created to support community groups, libraries, museums, families, playgroups, early childhood education and care centres, and anyone else who wants to establish strong, supportive relationships with children whilst having fun AND helping the child’s brain grow to its full potential!
Play time seems to be decreasing over the last 50 years and early childhood development gets a tiny fraction of education funding around the world even though a child’s first six years hold the greatest potential to positively shape their lives.
The campaign presents ideas and guides to bring play to libraries, museums and other community organisations and spaces.
